Pricing, taxes, and fees FAQ

This pricing, taxes, and fees information is applicable to the Zoom App Marketplace app monetization.

  • Payment accounts must be for an individual or business located within the geographic United States.
  • All transactions are calculated in US dollars.
  • Zoom handles all transactions, including taxes and revenue share.
  • You must offer a free plan.
  • Paid subscriptions must be no less than $0.99.
  • Zoom's standard agency commission is 15% of gross retail sales (excluding taxes).
  • Taxes:
    • Customers pay sales and other applicable indirect taxes for licenses purchased through the Zoom App Marketplace.
    • Certain applicable laws require marketplace platforms like Zoom to collect sales tax and other applicable indirect taxes on behalf of developers and remit them to the appropriate tax authoritytaxes for licenses purchased.

Available pricing tiers

  • Monthly - price for a license per month (calendar).
  • Annual - price per license per year (calendar).
  • Bulk - allows developers to offer different price levels for different volumes of licenses purchased.

This is a simple example of the fees and taxes collected by Zoom on your behalf, and the net amount paid to you less taxes and commissions.

  • A customer (administrator) buys 10 licenses at $10 per month for a total of $100 a month.
  • Their state charges a 5% sales tax for a total of $5.
  • The customer pays a total of $105 per month.

Commissions, taxes, and payouts

  • Zoom retains the $5 sales tax and pays it on your behalf to the respective tax agencies.
  • Zoom's commission is 15% of $100, and retains $15.
  • 85% or $85 is paid out to you.
