EU Requirements

Note

This applies to only developers with apps on the Zoom Marketplace that serve users in the European Union (EU).

As of May 18th, EU users cannot authorize any app that has opted out of DSA or has not provided DSA information.

You can confirm whether your app is DSA compliant by going to its listing page. For DSA-compliant apps, DSA information is displayed under the Developer Resources section.

The European Union's (EU) Digital Services Act (DSA) Article 30 requires all online marketplaces, including the Zoom App Marketplace, to collect information about developers of published and unlisted apps available on the Zoom App Marketplace by February 17, 2025.

How to comply:

  1. Log in to the Zoom App Marketplace and click Manage.

  2. Select your published app.

  3. In the app build flow, switch to Production at the top of the page. If you don't see this option, convert your app first: App Conversion Guide.

  4. In the left navigation, select App Listing. Then, go to the EU and Discoverability tab.

  5. Locate the List my app in the EU toggle (default: ON).

  6. Choose one of the following:

    • Keep it ON:

Provide your business details. Zoom is legally required by EU law to collect this information; Zoom shares it only when legally necessary.

After you have provided the required information, in the left navigation click App Submission and then Submit.

If there are issues, you'll receive review notes with required corrections. For more information on how to access, resolve and resubmit your app, see Check Review Status.

    • Turn it OFF: Confirm your decision to opt out, and in the left navigation, click App Submission and then Submit.

Note

Ensure your company name is consistent and matches all other documentation you provide to Zoom, such as in the Privacy Policy.

If corrections are needed

If there are issues, you'll receive review notes with the required corrections. For more information on how to access, resolve, and resubmit your app, see Check Review Status. If your app is returned for corrections, you're responsible for addressing all review notes by making the necessary changes to your app or providing a response before resubmitting it for review.

Apps for EU users

For developers of all apps that serve users in the EU, Zoom is legally required to collect and display this information on the app's listing page:

  • Business name
  • Business address
  • Business telephone number
  • Business email address
  • Self-certification to comply with applicable rules

In the List my app in the EU section, fill out the required fields. Select the declaration statement to self-certify your commitment to only offer products or services that comply with the applicable rules of EU law.

Apps owned by traders as defined by DSA

This information is required for all traders as defined in the DSA. If you offer any service or product that requires payment, in addition to the above information, Zoom is legally required to collect the following information. Zoom maintains this information, but does not display it on the app's listing page, it is not visible to users.

Your payment account details:

  • Name of your banking institution.
  • The last four digits of the account.
  • A copy of an identification document or any other electronic identification for your business. The document can be a means of personal identification of the developer or a corporate identification, such as articles of incorporation or a public regulatory filing, such as an SEC Form 10-K.
  • Trade register number. If you are registered in a trade register(DUNS) or similar public register, your registration number or equivalent means of identification in that register. A DUNS number is acceptable. A DUNS (Data Universal Numbering System) number is a unique nine-digit number that identifies a business at a specific location. While you are not required to have a DUNS number, you can obtain one for free from Dun & Bradstreet.

Note

If you're certain that you're not a trader as defined by the DSA, email us at integration.testers@zoom.us. We'll help you remove these required fields from your build flow so you can submit.

Opt out

You can choose to opt out if you do not want this information associated with your app or do not want your app to be available in the EU marketplace.

Opting out results in the following:

Existing EU users or subscribers of your app may not be immediately affected on February 17. EU law requires us to begin suspending opted-out apps and those that don't provide the required information on that date. The suspension timeline may vary as we communicate with developers and restrict EU access for apps that opt out or don't attempt to comply.

If you have any questions for the marketplace review team about how DSA Compliance impacts your app, please email us at integration.testers@zoom.us.
