Removing and Unpublishing Apps

An app owner may request to have their app removed or unpublished from the Zoom Marketplace.

Unpublishing an app:

  • Converts the app into a draft state.
  • Removes the app listing from the Zoom App Marketplace.
  • Deactivates all existing subscriptions and your subscribers can no longer access their Zoom functionality within the integration.
  • You can re-publish unpublished apps at a later date, though it will need to be fully reviewed again before being published.

Removing an app:

  • Removes the app listing from the Zoom App Marketplace.
  • The app is deleted altogether from your account and our database.
  • Deactivates all existing subscriptions and your subscribers can no longer access their Zoom functionality within the integration.
  • Once an app is removed it cannot be recovered. To publish it later on, you must create a new app and submit it for review.

Prerequisite:

Ensure you have read and understand the Application Removal and Wind-Down Period section of the Marketplace Developer Agreement before you submit your request.

Remove or unpublish an app:

  1. Log into your Zoom App Marketplace account as the app owner, and navigate to the Created apps page.

  2. Hover over your app's row and select the action menu ellipsis (...).

  3. In the action menu:

    • To unpublish the app, select Request to Unpublish.
    • To remove the app, select Request to Remove. The Marketplace displays the Remove app modal:

  4. (Optional) Add a developer note to include in the email we will send to your app's subscribers about the pending app removal.

  5. The Marketplace Operations team processes removal requests. By default, the app is scheduled for removal or unpublishing in 30 days. To request expedited removal, email integration.testers@zoom.us with a detailed explanation of why it's necessary.

  6. The wind-down period allows end users time to prepare for deprecation and find an alternative solution before the integration is removed. After the wind-down period, users will receive a confirmation when their access tokens are revoked and the app removal is complete.
