Zoom for Claude Connector

Use the Zoom for Claude Connector to search Zoom Meetings, Zoom Chat, and Zoom Canvas using natural language and retrieve meeting assets such as AI summaries, docs, recordings, My Notes, and whiteboards. In addition, access recording-specific resources including transcripts, summaries, next steps, and playback links.

Using simple prompts, quickly locate the exact moment a topic was discussed in a meeting recording, generate agendas, capture notes, identify action items, retrieve Zoom Canvas content, list cloud recordings, create follow-up Zoom Canvas from Markdown, and follow up using the transcript, summary, and shared materials.

Setup

Follow these steps to set up the Zoom for Claude Connector. For more information, see Anthropic Connectors Directory FAQ on Claude Support.

  1. Visit the Claude Connectors Directory
  2. Complete OAuth authentication
  3. Configure any additional required settings

Authentication

The Zoom Claude Connector requires OAuth authentication. To authenticate, you'll need:

  • A Licensed user on a Zoom Workplace Pro, Zoom Workplace Pro Plus, Zoom Workplace Business, Zoom Workplace Business Plus, Zoom Workplace Enterprise, Zoom Workplace Enterprise Plus, or Enterprise Bundle account
  • A Zoom account owner or admin with privileges
  • A Claude account

Limitations

There are a few limitations to keep in mind when using the Zoom for Claude Connector.

  • Due to the app being dependent on the AI Companion features Smart Recording and Meeting Summary, unless both of these features are enabled, the app may have limited functionality.
  • You can only access meeting assets and/or recordings when both of the following are true:
    • AI Companion Smart Recording and/or Meeting Summary features have been enabled for use with those meeting assets and recordings.
    • You hosted the meeting or have been granted access to those meeting assets and recordings by the meeting host.
  • For video-based features of the Zoom for Claude Connector, meetings must be recorded to the cloud using Smart Recording.

Example prompts

Once Zoom for Claude has been launched in Claude, you can begin using Claude to manage your workload with Zoom.

Once a question has been answered, follow up with additional questions or requests as well.

In addition to responses when asking about a meeting, any linked meeting assets you can access will also be accessible within the Claude dialog, including any related docs, files, transcripts, and recordings.

Create a list of action items from the ‘Q1 Strategy Alignment meeting’ yesterday morning.Claude will confirm that you want to create a new Zoom Doc with the action items. Once you click Create, a Zoom Doc will be generated containing a list of action items.
Did anyone mention the launch checklist in Zoom Chat or Zoom Canvas?The most relevant results related to the launch checklist will be returned based on Zoom Chat messages and Zoom Canvas.
Can you summarize the Zoom Doc from yesterday’s planning meeting?A summary of the related Zoom Doc or My Notes file will be generated.
Can you show me my recent cloud recordings?A list of recent cloud recordings available to you will be returned.
