Create the Zoom Marketplace App

To integrate a third-party voice bot platform with Zoom Contact Center, we must establish a secure identity for your application within the Zoom ecosystem.

In this initial step, we will create a General App container, define its accessibility rules, and ensure it correctly maps to the underlying network telephony layout.

Initialize the General Application

First, we have to create the application wrapper within our developer environment.

  1. Log into the Zoom App Marketplace using an account with developer permissions.
  2. In the top-right navigation menu, click Develop and select Build App.
  3. Locate the General App card type and click Create.
  4. By default, a generic name is generated. Click the edit icon (pencil) to provide a professional, recognizable name for your application (e.g., Enterprise Voice Agent Gateway).
  5. In the Select how the app is managed section, choose Admin-managed. This ensures that account administrators can install and manage the app at the account level.

Map the Application to the Telephony Infrastructure

Next, we will link your marketplace application identity to your physical voice path.

Critical Architecture Dependency: The Zoom Marketplace associates your app configuration with your telephony network layer via an exact text match of the company string. The Company Name field in your app profile must match exactly with the company name used by Zoom Operations when provisioning your physical or virtual SIP trunk. An incorrect entry will prevent Zoom from routing incoming calls to your bot platform.

  1. Inside your application configuration workspace, navigate to the Production tab on the left-side panel.
  2. Select App Listing from the submenu options.
  3. Locate the Company Name data field and input the exact organizational string assigned during your production SIP trunk build coordination with Zoom.
  4. Click Save Changes to commit the telephony mapping.

Surface the Application to Zoom Contact Center

Finally, we will declare where the application can be accessed inside the Zoom platform environment.

  1. Return to the left-hand navigation pane and select the Surface tab.
  2. Locate the section labeled Select where to use your app (this defines the product frameworks your application can interact with).
  3. Find Contact Center and check its corresponding box. This exposes your application connection entries inside the customer's Zoom Contact Center admin portal.
