Accessibility

Zoom is dedicated to providing a digitally accessible experience for individuals with disabilities. We continually enhance usability by following recognized accessibility standards to ensure an inclusive experience for all users.

Accessibility in the Cobrowse experience

The Cobrowse SDK includes comprehensive accessibility enhancements designed to support users of all abilities, including the following.

  • Screen reader compatibility - Ensures that all interface elements are announced clearly for users relying on assistive technologies.
  • Agent gesturing support for screen reader users - Allows agents to use gestures that are interpreted or announced by screen readers, improving communication and collaboration during Cobrowse sessions.

Agent-Side accessibility

Cobrowse also includes built-in accessibility features for agents with disabilities. Agents can navigate the Cobrowse interface entirely by keyboard, with full screen reader support. Each interface element is announced as it receives focus, and visible focus indicators provide clear visual feedback.

The Agent Viewer is fully accessible, offering keyboard operability, screen reader compatibility, and visible focus indicators to ensure a seamless experience for all agents. It also allows users to use keyboard shortcuts for annotation drawing.

Using keyboard navigation

The following keyboard shortcuts help agents navigate the Cobrowse interface efficiently without using a mouse.

  • Tab and Shift + Tab — Move forward or backward through interface elements in the toolbar.
  • Arrow keys — Move between toolbar buttons.
  • Enter — Open drop-down menus.
  • Esc — Close open menus.
  • Shift + Q — Draw a rectangle

These shortcuts align with standard accessibility practices and enhance usability for agents who rely on keyboard navigation and screen readers, ensuring an inclusive experience throughout the Cobrowse session.
