# Set up Zoom apps for Zoom Room Controllers

## Prerequisites

-   An administrator account with _Marketplace_ role and _edit_ permissions is required to add apps from the [Zoom App Marketplace](https://marketplace.zoom.us/).
-   An administrator has enabled Zoom Apps on the account.

    Log in to the Zoom Web Portal and go to **Account Management** -> **Account Settings** -> **Zoom Apps** and enable **Zoom Apps Quick Launch Button**.

## Step 1: Add the Room Control app to your account

1. Log into the Zoom web portal as an administrator account.
2. Navigate to **ADMIN** > **Room Management** > **Zoom Rooms**.
3. In the left-side hierarchy, select a location, floor, or room, and click the **Edit**.
4. Go to **Zoom Apps** > **Room Control Apps** > **Add App**.

    Zoom redirects you to the Marketplace to choose and add the app.

5. Select your app and follow the screens to add it to your user account. Zoom redirects you back to the **Zoom Apps** management page for your Zoom Rooms.
6. Ensure the toggle switch to the app is enabled.

## Step 2: Configure the Room Controls app for your Zoom Room

**Prerequisite:** An administrator has added the app for your account.

> iOS does not support allowing unverified connections due to system restrictions. Unverified connections are only permissible on Android and Windows Zoom Room Controller.

1. Log into the Zoom web portal and navigate to your Zoom Rooms management page and select the room for which you want to enable the app. **ADMIN** > **Room Management** > **Zoom Rooms** > (_Room Name_) > **Room Settings**.
2. Enter the authorization credentials:
    1. Under **Zoom Apps** > **Room Control Apps**, select **Configure App**.
    2. Choose the authorization credentials method that was set up for your app.
3. Save.

## Step 3: Enable the Room Controls app

**Prerequisites:**

-   An administrator has authorized the app for your account.
-   You have added the app to your account in the Zoom Marketplace.
-   You have configured the app for your room.

1. On the Zoom web portal, navigate to **Rooms Profile** > **Devices**, and enable **Enable Room Controls**.

    Your app is displayed under the setting.

2. Open your Zoom Room Controller and go to the **Room Controls** tab.

    The tab displays the Room Controls app you've added.
