# Testing Zoom Rooms

## Prerequisites

Zoom Rooms apps are supported on the following platforms:

-   **Android**
-   **Windows**

Supported app types:

-   Personal Zoom Room (PZR) apps
-   Shared Zoom Room (SZR) apps
-   Digital Signage apps

**Note:** Mac and iPad support only **Digital Signage apps**.

For Android Zoom Rooms, multiple hardware devices are supported. Only the following devices are officially supported:

-   DTEN
-   Neat

## Application instance limitations

Zoom Rooms is a single-instance application. You **cannot** install or run multiple instances of Zoom Rooms on the same device. Unlike the Zoom desktop client, multiple versions (for example, Zoom and Zoom2) cannot run side by side.

## Create and install a Zoom Rooms App

Before debugging, create and install your Zoom Rooms app through the Zoom Marketplace. For detailed steps, see [Testing updates to published apps](/docs/distribute/sharing-private-and-beta-apps/#testing-updates-to-published-apps).

## Preconditions

Before testing with the client debug package, complete these steps:

1. **Install the app**

    Use **Local Test** for development and testing.

2. **(Optional) Share a draft app**

    To share a draft app outside your developer account, follow [Sharing private and beta apps](/docs/distribute/sharing-private-and-beta-apps/).

3. **Enable the ZR setting**

    Enable the ZR setting in the Zoom Rooms web portal.

## Install and use the client debug package

1. Install the required client debug package.
2. Start the app using the client debug package to begin testing.

> This step allows you to test unpublished or development versions of your app directly on the Zoom Rooms client.

## Testing workflow using the client debug package

Zoom Rooms testing is primarily performed through:

-   Zoom Marketplace
-   Zoom Rooms web portal, where app settings and configurations are managed

After installing the app from the Marketplace:

1. Install the app on the Zoom Rooms device.
2. Configure the app in the Zoom Rooms web portal.
3. Apply the client debug package to the Zoom Rooms client.
