# Allow audio in the background

Imagine when you are in the middle of a meeting, and you press the
**Home** button, your app then runs in the background and the audio is
no longer available. To avoid this kind of issue, simply set up the
following in your project configuration and your audio will continue in
the background when you "exit" your app.

In your **project configuration \> Capabilities**, enable **Background
Modes** and check **Audio, AirPlay, and Picture in Picture**:
