# Zoom Cobrowse SDK overview The [Zoom Cobrowse SDK](https://www.zoom.com/en/blog/add-collaborative-browsing-to-your-web-page-with-zoom-cobrowse-sdk/) enables users to share their web browsing experience with an organization in real-time. Collaborators can annotate and see what is being shared. Certain parts of the screen can be masked or redacted from view by the user to protect their privacy and confidentiality. This offers a secure and advanced form of screen sharing, limited to one particular website. Use your [Zoom Developer account credentials](/docs/cobrowse-sdk/authorize/) to authorize this SDK for users. ## What is cobrowsing? Cobrowsing stands for collaborative browsing, a web-based visual engagement solution that allows agents and customers to securely and simultaneously navigate and interact with the same web page at the same time. The Zoom Cobrowse SDK provides all the tools necessary to easily integrate the collaborative browsing experience into your customer engagement flow. It uses JavaScript and HTML technology, requires no plug-ins or downloads, and comes with useful features like annotation tools and a masking feature, which can be configured to prevent a customer's sensitive information from being seen by agents. ## Useful terminology Here's some useful cobrowsing terminology. - **Agent** - A member of your company's staff who supports customers to perform various tasks such as completing a purchase or filling out forms. - **Customer** - Any user navigating your company website who can allow agents to view the same website with them at the same time during the cobrowse session. - **Admin** - An administrative person in your company who manages cobrowsing settings on the Zoom web portal. - **Cobrowse session** - Similar to a video session, a cobrowse session is a virtual space where agents and their users navigate and interact with web pages together to collaborate. Each cobrowse session is unique and expires once the session ends. Therefore, the agent would need to launch another cobrowsing initiating flow to engage with the user again in a new cobrowse session. ## Key features Here are some current and planned key features. | Features |   |   | | -------------------------- | ------------ | ---------------------------- | | Screen resizing | Data masking | Annotation/highlighting tool | | Real-time cursor mirroring | Audit logs |   | ## Cobrowsing versus screen sharing Here's a comparison that shows the benefits of cobrowsing over traditional screen sharing. | Feature | Cobrowsing | Screen sharing | | -------------------------------------------------------- | ---------- | -------------- | | No software installation required | Y | N | | Easy integration to any collaborative solution | Y | N | | Save bandwidth with higher quality | Y | N | | Securely limited to the browser | Y | N | | Fully configurable to hide sensitive data (data-masking) | Y | N | | System-level control | N | Y | ## Compatible with Video SDK and Meeting SDK You can use Cobrowsing with [Video SDK](/docs/video-sdk/) and [Meeting SDK](/docs/meeting-sdk/). ## Key use cases and business opportunities - **Filling out complex forms** - An agent can instruct a customer on how to fill out a form. - **Improve CSAT rating in the Contact Center experience** - Empower remote support products by offering users a more engaging and visualized experience. - **Increase e-commerce sales** - Guide users to what they need to improve customer retention and promote sales. - **Completing payments and other transactions** - Reduce abandoned shopping carts. - **Visual engagement for financial customers** - Offer a premier visual experience to customers who care about security and compliance matters. ## Cobrowse SDK demo video See this video for a walkthrough of Zoom Cobrowse SDK capabilities.
