# JWT App type deprecation

The [JWT app type will be
deprecated](/docs/internal-apps/jwt-faq/). We
recommend that you create [Server-to-Server
OAuth](/docs/internal-apps/) or [OAuth
apps](/docs/integrations/) to replace the
functionality of a JWT app in your account.

-   On June 1, 2023, Developers will not be able to create new JWT app
    types.
-   On September 1, 2023, Zoom will disable JWT app type authorization.
