Celebrating our win at the 2024 POST/CON API Network Awards

On May 1st, we were thrilled to receive the 🏆Best API award🏆 at POST/CON 2024 API Network Awards for our work on the Zoom Public API Workspace on Postman. This recognition is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our team.

Back in August 2022, I embarked on a journey to create a user-friendly environment for developers to test Zoom APIs, aiming to streamline platform onboarding and enablement. Together with my teammate, Donte Small, we launched the first iteration of the public workspace at Zoomtopia's Developer Day.

Since then, the workspace has evolved, earning a verification badge and recognition in the "Communications" sector of Postman. These achievements highlight the collective effort of our internal teams, including Support, Technical Sales Architects, and Solutions Engineers, who have played a pivotal role in promoting and demoing the workspace.

Looking ahead, we’re excited to:

  • Partner with External Developers: Gather feedback and enhance the workspace functionality.
  • Collaborate with API Engineering Teams: Integrate Postman into our API lifecycle to boost efficiency and quality assurance.
  • Incorporate New Features: Utilize insights from POST/CON 2024 workshop sessions to integrate new platform features and enhance the workspace's value for our developer community.

Zoom developer advocate spotlight at the AI Dev Summit

Our developer advocates, Ojus Save (left) and Max Mansfield (right), recently presented at the AI Dev Summit in San Francisco, CA this past month with a session titled "Building Real Time Analysis for Your Meetings." This session showcased the transformative potential of real-time AI and data streaming in online collaboration.

Key highlights from their session include:

  • Capturing the Essence: Leveraging Zoom meeting SDKs to capture raw data, including audio and visuals, in real-time.
  • Powering with AI: Processing this data through sophisticated AI models to unlock new possibilities.
  • Seamless Integration: Integrating AI-powered insights back into the meeting experience to enrich participant engagement.

Through captivating demonstrations, they showcased:

  • Advanced Applications: Examples of AI in various meeting scenarios.
  • Enhanced Engagement: Real-time AI fostering deeper participation and productive discussions.
  • Streamlined Workflows: AI automating tasks and reducing cognitive load, allowing participants to focus on critical discussions.

By the end of their session, attendees gained a clear understanding of real-time AI and data streaming in meetings, insights into diverse applications of this technology, and technical considerations for implementation.

We’re excited about these developments and look forward to continuing our journey with you, our vibrant developer community. Stay tuned for more updates and join us in building the future of online collaboration!

Happy coding and see you June 26th,
