# Turn your Zoom Apps data into actionable insights with the new Marketplace API & Apps Dashboards
At Zoom, we’re committed to empowering enterprise admins and app developers with tools to enable data-driven decision-making. The new Marketplace API and Apps Dashboards allows you to gain insight into how your organization uses external and internal apps on Zoom. In this post, we’ll look into how these dashboards are designed to help you monitor, analyze and take action on account-level and API/app-level insights.[^1][^2]
## Analyze detailed API usage with the API Dashboard
The Zoom API Dashboard is a web-based interface designed to streamline the management of API integrations within your organization’s Zoom account. From monitoring usage metrics to setting notifications, the dashboard offers a range of features to support account admins. Data insights can be filtered by different views (e.g. last 7 days, 14 days of 30 days).
The API Dashboard is built to help you:
- **Access usage trends:** Gain visibility into API usage metrics, including call volumes and rate limits, to optimize performance and understand which apps are using which APIs.
- **Inspect and remediate:** Preemptively anticipate rate limit issues by seeing which APIs are failing and and get notified when a rate limit is hit in order to self-diagnose or troubleshoot issues and identify improvements for better resource allocation.
- **Enhance performance monitoring:** Monitor API Performance to ensure reliability and responsiveness for your account users by seeing who is calling the APIs and being able to track if those calls were successful. You can also set alerts at API or request type level and receive notifications via email when they meet the thresholds that are set.
### Analytics available on the API Dashboard:

{' '}
| Overview (Account-level) |
|
| Account rate limits |
These are all the added apps in the account. The trend indicator
shows the delta in added apps for the date range selected at the
top right.
|
| APIs on your account |
This lists all the APIs used in the account for the date range
selected at the top of the page. You can use the search and
filter options to narrow your search to the APIs that you are
interested in. You can select any row to dive deeper to the
usage of that API in the account across all the apps.{" "}
|

| Overview (Account-level) |
|
| Total API calls |
This is the total API calls made in the account for the date
range selected for this API. The trend indicator shows the
change in usage during the selected time period.
|
| Total API Failures |
This number indicates the number of failures of this API during
the date range selected. This includes all failures. The trend
indicator shows the change in usage during the selected time
period.
|
| Average Failure Rate |
The percentage of failed API calls out of the total number of
calls during the date range selected.
|
| API calls in last `x` days |
This is a histogram view of the API usage during the time period
selected. Each bar shows the successful calls in blue and failed
calls in red.
|
| API Call Log |
The call log shows all the API calls that occurred during the
period selected. You can easily filter to the failed call by
selecting the ‘Failed’ tab.

## Track app activity with the Apps on Account Dashboard
The [Zoom Apps Dashboard](https://marketplace.zoom.us/user/apps-dashboard) gives you full view into how your organization uses Zoom apps. Data insights can be filtered by different views (e.g. last 7 days, 14 days or 30 days). Use this dashboard to drill-down on detailed usage analytics within a single app, and manage app permissions at a user and account-level.
The Apps on Account Dashboard helps Marketplace admins:
- **Understand app usage:** get a birds-eye view of all the added, created and approved apps used in your organization’s account. See which apps are most vs least used within your organization, so you can allocate app licenses and resources accordingly. You can also view which apps are added vs actively used by accounts in your organization.
- **Track rate limit consumptions:** get an overview of how your account’s rate limit is distributed among apps, and see the top 5 apps consuming your rate limit.
- **Pinpoint apps that need attention:** by automatically seeing the top apps with most API failures highlighted on the dashboard.

This donut pie chart shows the API usage by apps in the account
across the different request types. You can use the drop down to
select a different request type.

| Most used apps |
This lists the most used apps in the account. Usage is defined
by the API calls that are made from the app by unique users. You
can use the drop down to navigate to ‘Least used apps’ as well.
|
| Apps that need attention |
This lists apps that need your attention because of the API
failures that are being seen by the app.

|
| Account rate limit usage |
This section splits the API usage across the different API
request types for the app. The data shown here is for the time
period selected in the data range filter. The number is the
percentage of rate limit consumption for the date range
selected.
|
| API Calls |
This section shows the total API calls that are made from the
app and the total API failures in a histogram view.
|
| Total API failures |
This section lists the API failures that the app sees. |
| Active users |
This number shows the active users of the app. The active usage
is defined by an API call being made by distinct users during
the time period selected.

The new App Marketplace Dashboards will help companies gain valuable insight into their operations and discover usage trends that will allow them to take forward-thinking action. With this information, companies can improve service levels, reduce operational costs, mitigate risk and enhance internal collaboration.
